VINICUNCA COLORS MOUNTAIN + RED VALLEY
The rainbow mountain, also known as Vinicunca. It is one of the most visited places in Peru, our tour starts with the pick-up from 04:20 AM to 5:00 am from your hotel in Cusco, once the group has been completed we head south of the city of Cusco , the trip will be approximately 2 hours to Cusipata, place of our breakfast, then we will continue for an hour of travel in the vehicle, where we can observe lamas, alpacas and local people on the way.
Phulawasipata will be the starting point of the hike that is approximately 1 or more hours, depending on the pace of walking, here you will also have the option to rent a horse if you do not feel well, (remember that Vinicunca mountain is 5,000 meters away from height). From this point we will have the best view of the mountains and in front we can see the highest mountain in Cusco called Ausangate at 6400 m.a.s.l., then we will visit the Red Valley, this beautiful place is a chain of mountains and streams of reddish color. The coloration of this majestic attraction is thanks to the concentration of different minerals and the geological activity of the Andes, after this we will descend for 1 hour to take the transportation to the point of lunch in Cusipata, to finally head to the city of Cusco where approximately we will arrive between 5:00 to 6:00 pm, so we will end our excursion, hoping you enjoyed it.
